With a resume that includes DJ & Remix work for Grammy Winners Mary J. Blige, Lauryn Hill, The Roots, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Joss Stone, J.Period has elevated the “mixtape” to an artform and become one of the industry’s fastest-rising and most respected DJ/Remixers. J.Period’s work has been commissioned by VH1, Def Jam, Capitol/EMI, Sony, Universal Music Group; praised by Billboard Magazine, Vibe, XXL and The Source; featured in film trailers for Universa Pictures' 2007 American Gangster and Fox Searchlight’s 2008 Street Kings.

Named MTV "Top 5 DJs of 2007," J.Period has won a host of awards for his skills: 2X Mixtape DJ of the Year Awards, 2X Mixtape of the Year Awards, 3X Top DJ Awards. He has performed at Kanye West’s Grammy Party, Microsoft Zune's "Live At The BBQ," and as Lauryn Hill’s Official Tour DJ. J.Period also shared the stage with countless hip hop legends: Nas, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Special Ed, Slick Rick and more.

In 2008, J.Period continues to rise in the production world, scoring an upcoming Tony Hawk video game for Activision and trailers for a new Warner Brothers film project. And, with remix work scheduled for Alicia Keys, Talib Kweli and more, J.Period shows no signs of slowing down.
